About the Test
The Genetrack Paternity Test definitively confirms biological relationships between alleged fathers and children of any age, using simple cheek swab samples.
The test delivers over 99.999% accuracy in determining probability of paternity. Each test is automatically repeated to ensure consistent, reliable results. A detailed genetic report accompanies the conclusive test results, either confirming paternity with over 99.999% probability or excluding paternity with 100% certainty.

Technical Info
Our laboratory uses a precise process to compare the DNA of alleged fathers and children. First, DNA is extracted from the cell samples and specific regions are amplified through polymerase chain reaction (PCR), creating millions of copies for analysis.
These targeted regions contain genetic markers called short tandem repeats (STRs). A child inherits one copy of each STR from their biological mother and one from their biological father. Therefore, a child shares approximately 50% of their STRs with each parent.
By analyzing up to 27 of these STR markers between the alleged father and child, we can definitively determine if they share a biological parent-child relationship with over 99.999% accuracy. The more STR markers that match between them, the higher the probability that they are biologically related.

FAQs
Why is it important to choose an accredited laboratory?
Not all laboratories have accreditation, and it’s crucial to avoid companies that are not accredited. Accreditation is a guarantee that you are dealing with a legitimate and trustworthy laboratory. It ensures that all necessary protocols are followed carefully to maintain the highest quality of testing. At Genetrack, a well-known DNA Paternity Testing laboratory with over 25 years of experience, we have accreditation from reputable organizations such as AABB, CAP, ISO7025, and CLIA. This accreditation means that our testing procedures meet strict standards, resulting in the highest quality and most accurate results for our clients.
How does the DNA Paternity test work?
Once you order your DNA Paternity test, we will send you an at-home DNA Paternity Test kit right away. The kit includes easy-to-follow instructions. You will collect a quick and simple mouth swab sample from the father and the child using the swabs provided. Collecting the sample involves gently rubbing the swabs inside the mouth for 15 seconds. After collecting the samples, you can send them back to the laboratory using the return package we provide. Once we receive your samples, testing begins immediately, and you can expect your DNA Paternity Test results in just 1 to 2 business days. As soon as your results are ready, you can check the status and view them from your secure online account.
How will I receive my DNA Paternity Test results?
You can view your DNA Paternity Test results discreetly from your secure online account once the test is completed. You also have the option to download and print unlimited copies of your final DNA Paternity Test report.
What do my Paternity test results mean?
Your results will show you a probability of paternity over 99.9% if the alleged father is the biological father, or 0% if he is not.
How accurate are the DNA Paternity Test results?
The DNA Paternity Test results are 100% accurate and provide conclusive information. If the alleged father is not the biological father of the child, the DNA Paternity Test report will show a 0% chance of paternity. If the alleged father is the true biological father of the child, the DNA Paternity Test report will show a probability greater than 99.999% that he is the father.
How long does the DNA Paternity test take?
Once we receive your samples, testing begins immediately, and results are usually ready within 1 to 2 business days.
What if the father is not available for DNA Paternity testing?
If the father is not available for testing, there are other options. You can consider testing his parents using the DNA Grandparentage test. Alternatively, if the alleged father’s sibling is available for testing, you can consider the DNA Aunt or Uncle test.
What if the father and child live in different cities?
Our DNA Paternity test kit is designed to accommodate such situations. Each component in the kit is individually labeled with barcodes. If the father and child live in different cities, you can split the kit and send the components to each party for sample collection. Even if the samples are collected separately, they will still be tested together once they arrive at the laboratory.
How soon do I need to send the DNA samples back for Paternity testing?
The DNA Paternity Test kit has no expiration date, so you can use it at any time. Once the samples are collected, the DNA remains viable for at least 3 months.
What is the difference between a private knowledge DNA Paternity test and a legal DNA Paternity test?
Our laboratory offers two types of DNA Paternity Tests: private and legal. The private knowledge DNA Paternity test is for families who want to find out the truth about paternity discreetly at home before deciding on the next step. The legal DNA Paternity test is for individuals who need to use the results in court. The at-home DNA Paternity test kits are used for private knowledge tests. If you require a legal DNA Paternity test, please contact our laboratory directly to arrange an appointment for legal testing. For legal testing, all parties involved must attend an appointment at our collection site for chain-of-custody sample collection. During the legal DNA Paternity test appointment, a witness will check the legal identification documents of the individuals, take a passport photograph, collect fingerprints, and oversee the sample collection. You cannot collect your own samples for legal testing. Both the private and legal DNA Paternity tests are equally accurate and will produce the same results. The only difference is how the samples are collected, either discreetly at home or at our laboratory with a witness present.
Does the mother need to be tested for a DNA Paternity test?
No, testing the mother is optional. Only the child and the alleged father are required for the DNA Paternity test.
